FASTENERS
Usually, the demands of fasteners dance with the pace of industrialization and business circle of one country or region, furthermore, even the whole world. Global fastener market to hit US$46 billion in 2006, gaining 5% per year through 2006, dancing with the acceleration from forthcoming economic expansion within the developing nations of Asia and Latin America as industrialization efforts continue in these countries. Fastener demand will rise with increases in construction activity and manufacturing output, particularly in production of motor vehicles and other equipment in which fasteners are essential components. The growth also formally
terminates the slowdown during the 1992 to 2001 period, when chaos made a mush of market growth, particularly in developing countries. Growth in fastener demand in the US will slow down as manufacturing output and construction spending moderate as Fastener demand in Japan will benefit from an improvement in fixed investment and manufacturing activity following an extended period of decline, in spite that market growth will be weaker than in many other industrialized countries. China, consuming 9% of world demand, will record some of the strongest gains, surpassing Japan to become the world' s second largest fastener market, only behind the US by 2006. Eastern Europe market is positive, as it continues its transformation to a market economy, and manufacturing and fixed investment activity rises.
In order to compete successfully in the global marketplace, the industry is shifting its focus to increased service and to the development of highly engineered, technologically advanced fasteners and fastening systems. The principle of "the survival, the fittest" is quite right in world fastener jungle. The industry will continue to restructure and follow consolidation activities as less competitive players will be either squeezed or even out of market.VALVES
Global demand for industrial valves is predicted to climb 5.5% per year through 2007 to over US$60 billion, which indicates an improvement over the 1997-2002 period. The growth momentum is specially attributed to the blooming macroeconomic growth in the developing regions of Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe. The markets in the US, Japan and Western Europe, although not very prominent in performing, will also show slight improvement. Rising fixed investment levels will boost most valve consuming sectors and strengthen underdeveloped infrastructures in these regions.
DIE CASTING HARDWARE
Die-casting is a process to form metal shapes from molten material, in most cases, typically nonferrous metals such as aluminum, magnesium, and zinc. Die-casting processes include sand casting, precision investment (lost wax) casting, and permanent mold casting. Generally speaking, the major market for die-casting is the automotive industry. Especially smaller electric motors calling for the application of die cast aluminum housings and end covers, further promote the usage of die-castings. Additionally, for further development of the die casting industry, production scale is of prime importance for industry players. However, the prerequisite for a large production size is large investment. The automotive industry is surely a strong support. In recent years, attention has been paid to the development of large capacity die casting machines, bringing up hot chamber machines accordingly.Voices Of Industry Players
